Beyond Journalism
Tim grew up in the Midwest. Except for nine years in Europe, he has lived and worked most of his career in New York and environs, always amid an enriching family life. In addition to his writing and editorial consulting, he has been a longtime part-time instructor and visiting professor, teaching mostly for graduate schools in journalism. He has been active in professional organizations and volunteer programs such as Big Brothers, the Fresh Air Fund, and a mentoring program for neglected and abused children.
Diverse Subject Expertise
Tim is a quick study, known for embracing complex stories in law, medicine, science, and other challenging topics, and explaining the issues in a narrative show-don't-tell manner that is accessible to a broad audience. He writes so both your eighth-grade nephew and his mom get it.
